Amelia Atwater-Rhodes does not disappoint her readers. This book is just as amazing as her previous ones. I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed "Hawksong.

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes does not disappoint her readers. Continue the series with: Book 3 Falcondance: The Kiesha'ra: Volume Three (Kiesha'ra) Book 4 Wolfcry: The Kiesha'ra: Volume Four Book 5 Wyvernhail: The Kiesha'ra: Volume Five. The second book in the Kiesha'ra series is slighty slower in pace as the first (Hawksong) but still a wonderful read. It is from Zane's POV apposed to Danica; though is isn't as fast paced, there are a lot of new characters and events that are very interesting. Such as Danica becoming pregnant amd the introduction of falcons.

Overall, I really enjoyed this volume. It was a fun read, and very unpredictable. My favourite one so far, along with 'Hawksong'.

Oliza Shardae Cobriana, heir to Wyvern's Court, is considering male suitors from both the serpiente and avian races. She knows that choosing one will mean repercussions from the other, and maybe even war.

Oliza Shardae Cobriana is heir to Wyvern's Court, home of the avians and serpiente, whose war with each other ended just before Oliza was born. But hatred is slow to die, and not everyone likes the expressive way in which Urban, a serpiente dancer, is courting Oliza--especially not Marus, her reserved avian suitor. And when Urban is found beaten in avian land, Oliza is filled with despair. How can she be expected to lead a unified society if her people still cannot live peacefully together? Before Oliza can try to mend the rift in Wyvern's Court, she is kidnapped by mercenaries, who take her deep into wolves' territory. As Wyvern princess, all Oliza has ever wanted is to see a future where she can find love and take a mate without inciting another war. The time is now. She owes it to her people--and to herself. From the Hardcover edition.

The fourth book in the Kiesha'ra series is narated by Oliza Shardae Cobriana, Danica and Zane's only daughter. It takes place a few months after Nicias returns from Ahnmik. Oliza is stressed because she does no know who to choose as her mate. Men from both sides of Wyverns Court are seeking her affection. Urban: a sweet understanding serpent from the dancers guild, and Marus a conservative but kind avian. Who should she chose? Shortly after Urban is nearly beaten to death for being on the avian side of Wyverns Court, Oliza is kidnapped by the lion mercenaries. She escapes, and through her journey she makes some new friends and thinks about what she will do when she returns to Wyverns Court.

There are plenty of interesting twists and turns in this book, but it is slow and confusing at times. You will definitely be shocked by the end of this book. Though not my favorite of the series I would still reccomend reading it because the events at the end of Wolfcry lead into Wyvernhail. The final Kiesha'ra book.
Gavirgas
A short and simple story. I'm not a fan of first person but the prose was decent and the romance at the end believable. It could have lingered more and expanded on character interactions in certain parts of the book, especially to add to the slow burn relationship it was building up, hence the four stars, but overall it was enjoyable.

A lot of the negative reviews are older and severely homophobic, as this book did come out in the early 2000s, so ignore them.

IT HAD ISSUES I REALLY DON'T AGREE WITH, BUT IT WENT WELL WITH THE ENDING.

I was very sad when the story started to deviate from the main characters in the first two books, however she pulled it together well and I really loved this one. It's a bit darker than the others with a great ending.

This book is good, it starts off kind of slow but it picks up the pace toward the middle. I wouldn't recommend it unless you like fantasy novels.
I really enjoy reading this series! Amelia has a great sense of creativity with her stories and she did not lose my interest in any of her books :)
