A great series. I can't stand to put them down and then hate it when I come to the end. At least it doesn't leave you hanging. Buying #3 right now

We are enjoying the books by Smith. This is a children's book, and it fun to read.

This is a fun, sweet series, appropriate for all ages, with plenty of adventure, magic, and friendship. Bubbly Wren is a wonderful heroine to follow. She wasn’t quite as colorful with her dialogue this time around, but her spirit was definitely still there. Prince Connor definitely grew with this book as we delved more into his unknown magical heritage (which I definitely hope continues to get explored in the next two remaining books). Also he grew more as he tried to find his place in the world. It speaks volumes that I totally itched to give him a hug in several scenes, and it irked me a bit that Wren didn’t when she is supposed to be one of his closest friends (since it felt like he really needed someone to tell him he matters and that he’s loved as a friend). There is plenty of magic and adventure in this installment as they try to outwit the evil sorcerer who hounds them straight from the beginning of the novel, as well as shape-shifting by the characters themselves, and all of Connor’s experimenting with his new found powers. And for the romance fans, there are budding relationships in this one (though I will say one felt a bit odd taken from a modern standpoint when you realize the characters are related). In all, I had a fine time with the book and I’m eagerly looking forward to getting my hands on the next book.

This was a wonderful book. Everybody agrees that it rocked.I like how Smith puts in what you least expect and makes it connecting in the end, for a somewhat grand finale.I hope she writes more books like these (I have complete faith that she will) and more books about these characters. I hope Crown Duel will be as good as this!

Sherwood Smith's writing just casts a spell over me, I have a hard time putting her books down. If you liked the other Wren books and Meliara ones, you will love this one! I know I did.
By the ways, when's her next book coming out? My friends and I are waiting, waiting, waiting, for her next book!

this book was such a thrill to read I had been waoting for it for so long and it gets really sad but a good sad, for a story then it got so exciting near the end I was jumping up and down this book is a great to read especially if your as big a fan as I am of Sherwood Smith.
WREN is an extremely fierce and capable female, she's a role model for every girl who wants to become something. She started off as an orphant with nothing, and now she's eating and talking with princesses and royalty. THIS is such a great book with a great lesson to learn!
