I borrowed this book from a friend who had it but never opened it. I paged through hers and decided I wanted to flag stuff and write in it, so I bought my own. I have server short trips planned through out the state going by the places written about in this book. Truly opened my eyes to all the things to do, places to stay and things to see in Minnesota. The only draw back is the fact that it is a few years old already, but couldn't find a newer one. I looked through other travel books but nothing had the details this one has.

This book would definitely benefit from including at least one map that marked the towns mentioned in it. One good map for each trip would be ideal. Even if, as the author recommends, a reader refers to a more detailed map, having that information within the book would make it more reader friendly. The book did not seem to include information unavailable elsewhere. It seemed accurate, but did not point me in the direction of anything extraordinary. It did not provide detail that stood out.
Fast Lovebird
Found this to be a good book. Very informative and looking forward to checking out some of these places.

Better than nothing I guess... I MUCH preferred Moon Handbooks-Minnesota.
Acebiolane
This book is full of mini trips that cover all over the state. Many of these trips are places I never knew had the beauty and so many things to do. You can choose an isolated trip or a city style trip. Everything has been covered so well in this book - I have purchased 2 previously that weren't special at all. This author has gone above and beyond to find the truly unique and fun.
