Jun 16, 2015 Kelly Enck rated it it was amazing. Altering the state of the psyche automatically alters the physical circumstances. There is no other valid way of changing physical events. Jane's dream experiences were fascinating, but I found the long section dictated by Seth on probable/possible realities convoluted and (dare I say it?) tiresome (in the literal sense of the word), and decided that if it were Jane's narrative is interesting in that one gains a good feeling for her character, which comes across as honest and straightforward.

Seth, Dreams and Projections of Consciousness. The Seth & Jane Roberts Bookstore is the only source that offers the complete collection of Seth Books and Seth related books by Jane Roberts, The Seth Audio Collection, and previously unpublished Seth material.

Seth, Dreams and Projection of Consciousness. I used to just read the Seth text in other books, and kind of skip the Rob/Jane interactions, but in this book, you should read everything as Jane really explains what is going on, and the excerpts of channeling are very interesting but go hand in hand with Jane's text. All in all a fascinating book, Jane/Seth never disappoint me. Invaluable for all Dreamers. Published by Thriftbooks. com User, 17 years ago. All of us dream - be it by night or day. Daydreaming and make-believe is really what keeps our world together.

I love reading channeled material. I love the concept. Whether its just the authors imagination, or an actual entity speaking through a medium, Im fascinated by the concepts.
I read many different channeled authors at one period in my life. They're fun, good for some personal growth ideas.

And then there's Seth.

Seth's concepts are not cutsy fables, presented by a channel for light reading.

Seth is like the Noam Chomsky of channels. His writing is of such a magnitude and quality of depth, that he leaves other channels far behind.

I enjoy having my mind blown by powerful concepts. Even taking them as purely theoretical. I found just checking his world view out enriched my experience of my own life profoundly.
You don't need to think of any of it as "the TRUTH" or "THIS is the WAY". There's a million points of view out there. I just found Seth's point of view absolutely fascinating, well expressed, and worth the time to read.

If you're someone who loves ideas for the sake of ideas, and want a very empowering way to view the world, read Seth.

At all times his words seek to place one in touch with ones own power. He speaks to encourage individuals to take full responsibility for their own beliefs and to take responsibility for ones own life.

His books aren't "new age fluff". They are not "oh just think positive."

These are very real, very genuine essays on how to truly face ones own life. He is very aware of how nuanced our minds are at hiding from ourselves. He's like the best wise man of the village. These pages are full of loving empowering wisdom, a humorous poking at our egoism and limited beliefs.

Having read most of the Seth Books since the 1970s I couldn't believe there was anything more to learn as they covered almost everything about this universe, other dimensions, our ego, our sub conscious. Plus, so much more that the books have blown my mind. BUT I WAS WRONG this has taken knowledge to a new level. I am now doing the exercises suggested in the book and my life is truly changing. I now expect every day to meet someone new that is going to help 'change the view of this world that I have created'. I can't stop photo copying pages and sending to friends with new insights. Am going to order more copies to give away.

For Seth fans, this is a good book to add more insight into the dream realms. Some of the concepts, such as parallel timelines, is very interesting and helpful, and there are good practical suggestions on how to remember and interpret certain dreams. It is one of Jane's older books, however, and doesn't have the same powerful clarity as some of the other books. Much of it relates to their personal life (Jane and Rob) and their own explorations. Since these occurred in the 1960s and 1970s, our collective consciousness has grown considerably to the point that much of this information seems a little antiquated. Still, I do believe in the validity and value of the Seth material, overall, and this book will help any who are on an awakening path, whether or not you are aware of the other Seth books. Better suited for those wanting to add to their understanding of the entity Seth and the life of Jane Roberts, a woman who contributed greatly to society through her efforts, sacrifices, and willingness to connect to those subtle realms.

There were two great and controversial American innovators in the field of the spiritual in the seventies: Jane Roberts and Carlos Castaneda. Both are great writers, but their mentality is totally different from each other. Castaneda has suffered from a backlash for over twenty years now, but in my opinion Jane Roberts has only gained throughout the years. This is a posthumous book about the beginning of her experience as a reluctant psychic, and a good one. I'd say it is for anyone who likes to delve into matters deep and mysterious. The tone is personal and the scope is wide. If you feel that channelled information is a load of bs, check this out first. I did, and even if I don't buy everything that is said, i have to say I love Robert's style and her mind.

I am always going to be a fan of the Seth books. This book was published years after Jane was gone, but it was written during the beginning stages of Seth-Jane relationship. This book is different from the others, simply because Jane narrates it as her own experience, instead of the usual session format of the Seth books. I loved hearing Jane's voice as she described her exciting journey into the dream world and talked about her astral-projection experiences. The whole subject is fascinating to read; if you believe Jane really delved into the dream world, or not.

Whatever your beliefs are, this book is both highly entertaining to the mundane as well as the scientific mind, for it leaves no doubt that Jane/Seth were highly intelligent and approached both metaphysical and scientific subjects with an objective--sometimes even empirical--mind. Yet, I have come to believe by reading this last book (at least for me--I have read them out of order) that a true scientist must sometimes open his mind to the world of the unexplained, and remember that magic is simply science we have yet to understand.

I first read Jane Roberts back around 1980 and recently was drawn back to re-read them in the fall of 2013 due to a positive reference in the last of Dolores Cannon's 4 books on The Convoluted Universe. I was amazed and delighted to find quite a few that had been published posthumously. At first I focused on just the books that Seth had dictated and thought this might be one because of the title so ordered it. And so glad I did because then I had to go back and read Jane's books. This one has a lot of great information about dreams. And projections of consciousness. And I realized that not all of the notebooks of Seth material have been published. This one is well worth reading.
