Oral sex is a wonderful joy, often times a mutually pleasurable experience between two parties, with some givers such as myself, reporting that they find more joy in giving than receiving. Oral sex is our opportunity to be sexual philanthropists, to give our partners wonderful pleasure and delicious orgasms, but we can only do that if we actually, uh. now what we’re doing. While there is plenty of material out there about the sheer mechanics of the act, and this will cover some of those too, but what I want to focus on are some very important principles, especially pertaining to the female.

Redirected from Oral copulation). Oral sex, sometimes referred to as oral intercourse, is sexual activity involving the stimulation of the genitalia of a person by another person using the mouth (including the lips, tongue, or teeth) and the throat. Cunnilingus is oral sex performed on the vulva or vagina, while fellatio is oral sex performed on the penis. Anilingus, another form of oral sex, is oral stimulation of the anus.

SOS is a well illustrated instruction manual with a colorful cover and an interesting format. One side teaches men about cunnilingus and the other side for women explains fellatio. Chapters like Is It Work or Is It Fun? cover the art of oral sex. How it works, Special Spots and Special Issues, etc. cover the actual steps for fantastic oral sex and Advanced Techniques, Shake it Up, Devices and Toys, and Believe It or Not are for the super adventurous. The ladies' side corresponds to similar subjects, although the names and subject matter are different. For example, Double Dare-Fantasies and Bondage is a similar subject to Fantasies and Practices, although the basic information is different and written for women (obviously).
In the chapter, the Emotional Needs of Men, author Sinclair teaches women that unlike what most of us believe about men, they are "not lead around by their penises." Women tend to believe that men are easy to please, but in this chapter, we learn that men have emotional, mental and physical needs just like women. I don't think I have read another book on oral sex that even talks about this subject. In any case, I was glad to find ways to complete a physical relationship. My one complaint is that I don't like that the author suggests fantasies can be about someone other than your partner. That makes me feel unfaithful, although my friends in long, stable relationships agree with the author. I also don't want my partner thinking about anybody other than me!
I'm pretty sure everything is covered in this book; otherwise, I can't imagine what it would be. Overall, I love this book and recommend it.

A really bad book. It didn't show anything I and my husband didn't already know! Wasn't worth the time or the price.

I did feel as though there was not a lot new in this book. I was looking for a little extra "umph." But the basic are always good!!

Any book that talks about the female prostate needs to go back to the editor for a re-write. (In case you don't know, normal females don't have a prostate gland -- only men.)

In other places, the advice for the giver and receiver is mixed in together. I suppose the topic on female hygiene is something that shouldn't be overlooked, but why is it mixed in with the 'how to' topics? Does my wife need to read the Cunnilingus half of the book, too? The Fellatio half of the book doesn't seem to be written for both the giver and receiver, so the coverage is uneven.

If you want a book on technique and how-to, then look elsewhere as that's less than 25% of the material.

The flip-over format isn't a bad idea, it's just not well realized.

After further reading, I want to lower my rating to one star. The book is just full of fluff and short on substance. What's with the topic "Does Abstinence Work" -- why is it even included in this book? Is the school board going to use this book as a resource for setting a sex education policy?

This book was a waste of money. Look it'd be ok for virgins / sexually inexperienced people who don't know which way is up but there is nothing to learn here that I hadn't worked out after a couple of months in my first sexual relationship.

The flipover concept makes this book. One side is dedicated solely to fellatio; the other to cunnilingus. There is a great glossary in the middle that can be accessed regardless of which side you are reading. The first significant thing I noticed, besides the comprehensive table of contents, was the list of illustrations and diagrams. There were 31 in all, which is an amazing number.

Fellatio begins with the suggestion that it's fun, and then continues with its history. Next comes a detailed diagram of the male reproductive system, then a discussion about how fellatio affects all the senses--sight, sound, smell and taste. The writers emphasize a positive attitude toward oral sex, and how to engage various parts of the body (such as hands and tongue) to enhance fellatio. How to overcome gagging is a bonus discussion, and is appropriate for the coming sections on "auto-fellatio" and "deep-throating." The book illustrates the versatility of fellatio by presenting an entire chapter on different positions, including illustrations. "Devices and Toys" comes after a discussion on rimming and prostate stimulation. There is a chapter on safe sex, including illustrations on how to put on condoms, both manually and orally. The Fellatio portion ends with a question and answer section, and a discussion on the emotional needs of men. This section was especially welcome, since it is seldom taken into consideration.

Flip the book over, and the other side is devoted to Cunnilingus. It is arranged more or less like Fellatio. It emphasizes that this is a function that has no relevance to the size of a man's penis, which is a relief to some of us. Next come descriptions and diagrams of the external female genitalia and the vulva. The book says the performance of oral sex is an art form, then goes on to give detailed instructions on the proper way to go down on a woman. There's even a list of the worst mistakes you can make. Variations on the basics are shown by pictures and descriptions, like "Face Sitting" and "69," including positions for the disabled or injured. The advanced techniques include "squirting" and "anilingus." Like Fellatio, fantasies, sex toys and bondage are discussed as advanced techniques. There are even sections on medical problems that might affect sexuality. Safe sex practices, a question and answer session, and a chapter on the emotional needs of women complete the book.

This is a very comprehensive and detailed book about oral sex. You could buy a book on cunnilingus and a book on fellatio, but why bother when you can get all that information in one book? One negative I found was that I could have used a few more specific examples of techniques, both beginner and advanced. Otherwise, the book pretty much covered it all. Two thumbs up.
This book worked so beautifully for me. I had the passages I wanted marked and my partner and I took turns reading the "instructions" in a step by step fashion as the actions (and then the orgasms) took place. An audio version would have been useful at the time come to think of it.

It was kind of like Builder Bob with blueprints meets Biology Student with research paper.

Thank you Clair and Avery
