We live on the eleventh floor of an apartment house, and at seven-thirty he telephoned from the lobby and asked me to come down. I thought he must have something to tell me privately, but when we met in the lobby he got into the automatic elevator with me and we started up. As soon as the doors closed, he showed the same symptoms of fear I had seen in my mother.

I loved this very touching story of love, loss, and regret. As we look back over our lives, I, like most people, can truly relate. Just keep in mind, this is not a Christian book, in that it is written from a secular point of view. That said, it is a lovely story, beautifully written, but have a box of Kleenex handy.

This is a wonderful book and will touch your heart. It is so well written and realistic.
Especially for anyone with a touch of Heaven in them.
Probably make you cry.
But then who wants to go through life with a dry eye.

Happy reading.
