GRIEF Comes in Many Forms
A neighbor of mine called last week, excited about a book recently
published by someone she knew. She said it dealt with the process of grief and asked if I would read and evaluate it for Village News. Over the last 8 years, I have only reviewed three books, but I thought I would give it a go.

When dealing with grief, most
people think of it only as the result of a death. In fact, according to the author, Tina Erwin, humans grieve over many things: physical death, of course, the loss of a loved one. But we also grieve over the painful
separation as a result of military deployments; the end of childhood, as our children grow; the end of a relationship through divorce, injury and debilitating illness -- even over the loss of a job. These are all
"ending" experiences. Each
experience determines our growth as a person and ultimately, our soul evolution.

This book addresses alternative concepts to death as being final. The message is that you never die; you just change energy forms.

The most important message that I gained from this book was to keep an open mind -- to understand the way to deal with grief, to allow myself that opportunity and to appreciate that which may come next in my life. This book of tools can be used to help you in a specific situation or guide you through a deeper understanding of death.

This interesting book is available through www.Amazon.com.

A friend who works in the office of the local church recommended this book to me, one of her parents had crossed over a few years ago and she is still dealing with the loss. The grief support person at the church where she works use's this as a guide book. I did buy 8 of these books so far and have given away 6 of them to friends who have had a loss in the last two weeks. I have gotten wonderful comments from them that this book was helpful to them in their grief. I would recommend this book for anyone who has had a death in their family or of friends and neighbors. It not only guides the family of the deceased but also the friends who need to know how to offer assistance to the families. It also explains death in a manner that is not frightening or uncaring and gives much needed information for the caregivers of the ill before death.

I highly recommend this book. We all go through phases of loss: losing a parent, loved one, a spouse, friend, a job, etc.
In our society, we have a tendency to push grief aside. Tina Erwin helps the reader with examples, practical tips and simple insights how to better deal with those challenging times of loss. It's a very practical book for anybody who wants to learn how to deal with grief.

I think another title would be more affe4ctive. Thi9s title is confusing. The book is very well written and helpful for healing loss.
Metaphysics based; kinda reminds me of Unity teaching style. I study metaphysics and it goes along with a lot of what I believe
