More specifically a love-hate novel, Graham Greene’s postwar romance, The End of the Affair, is one of the great explorations of the mysteries and complexities of marriage. It’s the story of a writer wrestling with his deceased lover, her husband, and his own faith, and remains as shocking and involving as when it first appeared in 1951. Courtesy Penguin Classics.

Love is Fear: A Valerie . This isn't a standalone, and anyone attempting to read it as such, will be utterly disappointed and confused. The followup to Love is Darkness starts off exactly where the first book ends, which is sort of a rarity, if you ask me. I especially liked the expanded world building and flashbacks involving the fey. Word of warning.

The exploration of fear and love, and the fine line that divides our human nature and sense of self. The author takes us on a series of experiences through the delusional world of the modeling industry, and societies twisted view of beauty. The thought process of Miranda is an orgy of emotion, filled with head-spinning thoughts that doesn't logically make sense, nor is it supposed to. But it gives us a front seat view of the emotional roller coaster that goes through the mind of the modern woman. I was so naive to think that the relationships Miranda had was her quest to find the love of the man that was to make her whole. Instead, all this time she was trying to find her inner self, to be the person she was destined to be.
I enjoyed this book, I think the author speaks directly about the female mind. As they say in travel and love, its never the destination, its always the journey.

Refreshing. As an actress I read a lot of scripts and I'm familiar with a variety of characters. I read Love Nots! as a junkfood escape while I was on set recently, or so I had thought. I quickly discovered that I had begun reading a story about a world I have been familiar with (modeling) that wasn't being glamorized or justified by the main character. Miranda just gets it and misses it all at the same time. I just loved that! Guidara nailed the dichotomy between fear and love, reminding me (in an entertaining way) to keep holding onto my own courage and fight for what and who I love... we all should.

The book was a very good read. Now I would love to see it as a movie. The characters and stories were interesting. Miranda, captures your heart and makes you want to be her best friend. I hope the author keeps "romancing the pen" and comes out with another thought provoking and yes titillating read.
