Big Cherry Holler by Adriana Trigiani is the second book in the Big Stone Gap series. The first half of the book was tedious to read but the second half picked up the pace. I was looking forward to reading this one because I really enjoyed the story and the characters in the first book. However, this one fell quite a big short for me. I lost some respect for Ave Maria and how she was handling the crisis in her marriage.

I too am very disappointed to receive this book written in German. There was absolutely no indication it was not written in the English language. I am a big fan of Adrianna Trigiani, enjoyed the Big Stone Gap series as well as others, and was initially excited to be able to read an earlier book, but now feel my money was wasted. There should be some indication on the description that this book was written in German without an English copy as an option (if there even is one). I feel the seller and Amazon misrepresented themselves with this item.

What a joke. I can't return the book postage free because it arrived from
Great Britain and you only pay domestic returns. The postage to return it to GB will probably be more than what I paid for the book. Buyer beware I guess is true in this instance.
