I don’t recall doing that. He raised his brows, almost as though he didn’t believe her. Then he said, You don’t recall quite a lot about that time, I gather.

I don’t recall doing that. The period immediately before her hospitalisation carried hazy memories at best, and there were gaps even further back. But-why? What did I spend it on?. I’ve no idea, Magnus answered grimly. There was certainly no evidence that you’d bought anything with it. No new clothes, no receipts for any large expenses.

I bought this book as part of the Family Business series-- it's book 4 in the series and I wanted to keep the continuity of the story... and in spite of less than stellar ratings for the preceding book (The Baby Deal.by Victoria Pade) I really enjoyed that one. So I ignored the 2-star rating on this one... But one glaring mistake almost made me stop reading in the middle. Who on Earth would watch their friend chase after a purse snatcher and NOT run back into the restaurant they just left and have someone dial 911?? Furthermore, they never did call the police although her purse and her identity were taken by the thieves.... Ugh!! There were other errors as well. I suffered through what could have been a stellar story and took a deep, deep breath.... I will remember this author, and hope she did better in any later books.

Family Business - Book # 4

Evan has returned to Chicago after 12 years away, only because the family has demanded his presence for the reading of his father's will. Much to everyone's shock, except for his, Evan's name is not mentioned at all. His stepmother stops him from leaving and pleads with him to help her and the family gets Hanson Media back on track. Evan having nothing to lose, agrees. Evan left 12 years before because he didn't want any part in his father's manipulations, esp. when they involved the girl he loved and her family. Leaving had seemed the only way to not betray any of them. Meredith has always wondered why Evan disappeared, and now taking the job in the PR Dept. that Helen has recruited her for, puts her in daily contact with Evan. Their reunion is jeopardized when Evan discovers Meredith has deceptions of her own.

This was an okay read. The best parts of this book were more about Hanson Media, Helen and the Meredith duplicity. I liked Evan's character very much, but he lacked development. Meredith's character was kind of flat. I did enjoy this read, though mostly because of it's place in the series.

Since i haven't read it i won't give it any stars, it is however rather confusing since i am looking for the second book of the Attracelli series titled Falling For The Boss as titled above.
Why confused your customers by giving us the same title. We are still wondering if you can fix the Falling for the boss by Elizabeth Lennox. Do you know when is going to be fix for Kindle
