Her work is known for being particularly chaste.

Romance readers around the world were sad to note the passing of Betty Neels in June 2001. Betty’s first book, Sister Peters in Amsterdam, was published in 1969, and she eventually completed 134 books. Her career spanned thirty years, and she continued to write into her ninetieth year. To her millions of fans, Betty epitomized the romance writer, and yet she began writing almost by accident. She had retired from nursing, but her inquiring mind still sought stimulation. Her novels offer a reassuring warmth that was very much a part of her own personality, and her spirit and genuine talent live on in all her stories. An Old-Fashioned Girl.

An Old-Fashioned Girl is a novel by Louisa May Alcott. It was first serialised in the Merry's Museum magazine between July and August in 1869 and consisted of only six chapters. For the finished product, however, Alcott continued the story from.

An Old-Fashioned Girl book After reading this book I read up a bit on Betty Neels and realized that her husband was Dutch

An Old-Fashioned Girl book. Country girl Patience knows she can't be more different that. A very sweet romance that starts in a small English village and then travels to Holland. I loved everything about the h including her name (Patience). One thing I remember noticing is that I did not realize the H's name is Julius to about 50% of the book as he was always addressed by his Last Name. After reading this book I read up a bit on Betty Neels and realized that her husband was Dutch more.

Harlequin Romance: A Kiss for Julie Vol. 3512 by Betty Neels (1998, Paperback). Her books are very old fashioned, but well written & take me back to a time when people were nicer & manners better. Наиболее популярные в Художественная литература.

Patience knew she couldn't be more different from the sort of women Dutch surgeon Julius van der Beek seemed to attract. After all, she was a quiet country girl with a somewhat unique taste in clothes-and an assertive personality to match! Yet she was attracted to him. Not that she had any hope of him noticing her, particularly with the glamorous Sylvia van Teule already at his side.

Miss Patience Martin is definitely an old fashioned girl. However, she is no shrinking violet. She speaks her mind and says what the listener needs to hear. She is also kind, thoughtful and caring. She is independent and a hard worker. Mr. Julius Van Der Beek is a renowned, and occasionally rather top lofty, heart surgeon who is married to his work. He is a thinking man, and as such likes quiet while he does so. I really liked these two characters. One of my favorite scenes was when she put an 'urgent' call through and it turned out to be urgent only to the caller. He flies into a rage. Patience handles it like she has to bring a five year old down from a sky scraping tantrum, by pointing out he made the rules. These two, like all of Ms Neels' characters, were meant for each other.

I love all the old fashioned sweet romances by Betty Neels. I read them all many years ago and am now reading them for the 2nd and even 3rd times on my Kindle. She wrote them all on a formula. Usually a romance between a Dutch doctor or professor and an English young lady. There is always some type of conflict that has to be settled before the happily ever after. No violence and no sexual content.

You know the end, but not the how, always a bit surprising. I enjoy Betty Neels books enormously. Kind of predictable but fun

It's unfair to ask me about any Betty Neels book. I've been reading them since the '70s and keep and read them constantly. They are simple, clean, and endearing. I would allow a young daughter to read them and hope that she would love them also. A far cry from the intensity of today's novels. They are simply a simple break from the norm.

I thought I had read all of Betty Neels books and was very happy to find another. I wish there were more authors out there that were like her, that let you use your imagination and didn't get involved in explicit sex. She was wonderful.

I love all of her stories since she keeps them clean.
Love these old romances!
