Mr. Taherzadeh was one of the few brilliant Baha'i scholars to live on this planet. For those Baha'is or seekers who wish to deepen their understanding of why God has given we human beings the Greatest Gift, the Manifestation of God, all 4 volumes of "The Revelation of Baha'ullah" are most excellent sources to benefit from serious study. All of the Divine Prophets: Adam, Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus,, Mohammed, Bab, and, most recently, Baha'u'llah. Baha'u'llah was born in 1817, so this October, we Baha'is will be celebrating His 200th birthday. We wish to share His divine (not man made) scripture with all of the people inhabiting this world. He made the stupendous claim that He was Promised One of all religions. All we ask is of our Friends, is to investigate, independently, to determine for themselves the truth. We Baha'is are searching for souls who wish to advance themselves spiritually, and contribute to the betterment of all of the peoples on the planet. Bahai.org is also a great source for study. This four volume set is both spiritually and intellectually fulfilling. I am so grateful that it is now available for my Kindle. Now I can easily reread them all with ease. I am eager to enjoy the highlights and notes that others share.
This particular volume[2] also includes the story of Ahmad for whom the very loved Tablet of Ahmad (found in Baha'i Prayer books.) Until I read this I was missing much of the significance of its meaning. The stories behind so many of Baha'ullah's various writings and the author's understanding of the deeper meanings of the ideas presented to the reader offer a new understanding about the purpose of the Revelation of Baha'ullah.
Light out of Fildon
While on pilgrimage in March, 2011 in the Holy Land, I visited the grave of the author, Adib Taherzadeh, at the Baha'i Cemetary in Haifa, near the cave of Elijah on Mount Carmel and thanked him for his gift of these wonderful books. I now have a heart connection with the author.

I previously read all four volumes of these historical books and now, ten years later am re-reading them as one of my last projects (I am 78 years old) and getting even more out of them. It tells of the Life of Baha'u'llah and takes place during the years 1853 to 1863 from Tehran, Iran, to Baghdad, Iraq, tracing His exile, persecution, and His Writings during this period of His life. It takes you from the black dungeon Siyyah Chal in Tehran, where He was freighted with chains of 52 kilograms, to the Ridvan Garden in Baghdad, where He announced His Mission, before being further exiled to Constantinople, Adrianople and finally to the Most Great Prison in Acca, Israel where He died in 1892 and is buried.

The author's insights and explanation of the circumstances under which they were revealed added a lot my previous understanding of these same Writings.

I highly recommend it to Baha'i readers, to scholars of any background and to anyone curious about the origins of this world religion, now the second most widespread religion in the world.

My previous copy of this book fell apart so I ordererd this one to replace it and keep my library in good condition.
Actually I learned more about the beginnings of the Baha'i faith after reading this. But I would caution those weak of heart before opening it's pages!
This is one of the finest books in existence about the Writings of Baha'u'llah. It is probably more for the scholarly type and definitely for someone who is deeply interested in the Writings of Baha'u'llah, when and where each was written, and many events surrounding the times in which He wrote.
Mr. Taherzadeh was one of the foremost scholars of the Baha'i Faith. This Volume is excellent, as are all four volumes of this set. It has descriptions of many of the tablets written by/revealed by Baha'u'llah, that are not translated into English yet. Also, there are many delightful stories of the early Baha'is at the time of Baha'u'llah.
The four volumes written by Adib Taherzadeh on the Revelation of Baha'u'llah provide meaning and insights across the vast history of Baha'u'llah's revelation to humanity. While the Writings speak eloquently for themselves, the author offers their history and context, allowing for a deeper and more nuanced understanding, and parses out their themes, providing another means of responding to them. I have been deeply nourished by my reading of these volumes.
This series is not just for those who are interested in Baha'ullah. It helps those in the west to understand the culture of the Middle East. There are insights into the Islamic attitudes to others (Bahais, Christians, foreigners), to women, to modern western thought, or those in their midst that have new ideas.
