The New Covenant (Hebrew. רית חדשה berit hadashah ; Greek διαθήκη καινή diatheke kaine) is a biblical interpretation originally derived from a phrase in the Book of Jeremiah (Jeremiah 31:31-34), in the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament in Christian Bible). It is often thought of as an eschatological (ultimate destiny of humanity) Messianic Age or world to come and is related to the biblical concept of the Kingdom of God.
This book did an excellent job of showning how Christ is the focal point of the Book of Mormon throughtout. Elder Holland is the author of several books, including Broken Things to Mend and Christ and the New Covenant. I thought it was an inspirational book giving hope to any who read it and is a great addition to anyone's library. Jeffrey R. Holland was called as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June 1994. He and his wife, Patricia, have three children and thirteen grandchildren.
