Bibliographic Control of Microforms. By Felix Reichmann and Josephine M. Tharpe with the cooperation of Henriette Avram, Suzanne Dodson, Henry Gochman and Laura Jennings. Greenwood Press, In. 1972. Reichmann, Felix; Tharpe, Josephine M. There are two major parts to this book. The first is a study of bibliographic control of microforms, and the second is an extensive annotated bibliography of microforms. The study included a survey of 190 libraries and showed that local bibliographic control of microforms is often so inadequate that usefulness of the microform collection is diminished. Though some national and international tools exist, none has seemed satisfactory.

Felix Reichmann was born in Vienna in 1899 . His parents, Alois Reichmann (1868-1936) and Emilie Löwe (1871-1950), were the owners of a bookstore in Vienna that they had founded in 1896.
