Hammerslough asks us to consider the question, Whats Changed? She attributes the change to four factors: the urgency of technology, the increasing array of problems and products, more products connecting the spirit of the subject with material objects, and values. This analysis will focus of the effectiveness of these four factors. The first factor she mentions is the urgency of technology. Basic needs such as food, shelter, and protection from dangerous elements havent changed.

NextText addresses the problems students have transitioning into the critical thinking, reading, and writing required for academic work. Anne Kress and Suellyn Winkle, both at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida, carefully researched the skills required in disciplines across the university and developed NextText to teach students those skills. Every chapter in NextText offers students a rich range of readings from the informal magazine article to the researched academic essay. Students are encouraged to make connections between and among the multiple voices, genres, and disciplines represented in every chapter. NextText: Making Connections Across and Beyond the Disciplines prepares students for academic success in the composition course, and beyond.

Book came looking exactly like new, just bought from a bookstore. No markings found. Personal notes in package always feel nice. Great choice to buy from this user.

You get what you paid for. I bought this for 1 cent and 7 dollars shipping. The book was in good conditions.

Purchased this used text book for a college-age son. It was cheaper than the used version available through the school book store and was delivered to the house well in advance of the time he needed it. It was in very good condition (as described) and I was pleased as a result.

This book did not come to me in the posted condition. It was readable for the most part, though there was a lot of asian writing and highlighting throughout; would not have bought if had known it was there. But still a useful book despite markings.
I recently ordered a text book from them and didn't get what I wanted. According to their product description I had ordered 1 text book with two DVDs and of course the the book came with out DVD. When I called them they have me the run around and said that that's not what they have on file even when I forwarded the email that they sent me with the product description. They just wanted to collect their money and when they did they did nothing to help me out. This is a horrible business that should not be trusted.
