Checked this book out of local library.

Checked this book out of local library. maybe 3 chapters dedicated to actual stock selection, the rest talks about economic cycles, inflation, PE ratios, etc. Recommendeed by O'Neil associate David Ryan in Market Wizards I and also by Mark Minervini in Market Wizards III. Note that Minervini is allegedly an ex-employee of O'Neil also. This book came out in 1977. Maybe back then it was earth-shattering and revolutionary. However in 2004, all the "stock selection" concepts are covered by William O'Neil's books and by Stan Weinstein

As the subtitle of the book indicates part of the book is based on the 4 year Political cycle. Super-performance has occurred in well known growth stocks and it has happened in well known mature companies at some stage in their growth.

As the subtitle of the book indicates part of the book is based on the 4 year Political cycle. The author’s contention is that because there is a Presidential election every four years, the economy is managed in such a way that two years prior to election there is a boom and most of the problem in economy surface after election. It is triggered by many actions such as earnings, mergers, but most often it is found in stocks that are rebounding from oversold conditions, such as those characteristics of bear market bottoms.

book by Richard S Love. This book laysout a logical method to find great stocks. Combine this with IBD's CANSLIM method if you want to make money!! Bit expensive but it is worth reading this book!!!

ISBN 13: 9780138761516. Superperformance stocks: An investment strategy for the individual investor based on the 4-year political cycle.

I recently read the book "Superperformance stocks: An investment strategy for the individual investor based on the 4-year political cycle," by Richard S. Love. Although the book was written in 1977, much of the principles remain the same. And subsequently, he writes about the superperformance stocks of the time, and the common denominators of those stocks. I will focus on the latter part of the process, and that is the superperformance stocks.

You might save your money on this one.

I also checked this one out at the library. It's hard to find, and because of that and the mention of it in Market Wizards sellers are gouging. Bottom line is there is really nothing new as mentioned by the other reviewer. Only a few chapters are worth the read IMO. Though there might be a different spin on a couple concepts, there really isn't anything here that would change your trading - assuming your in the O'Neil and Leob camp.
