This was the very first book I used for my justice studies (criminal justice, law, call what you may) introduction class.

I'm very pleased with the writing, brevity, and appeal to this book. The authors had in mind its audience, and it made the experience interesting and fun. There's parts that are fascinating, like the OJ simpson trial, various fantastical kidnappings, and other cases that shocked the world. I thought those helped make the chapters easier to get through.

Overall, I've had good memories with this book. Definitely a highly a recommended book for any beginning of a criminal justice career.

I needed this book for my CRJ class. And its just the exact book I needed. It arrived very fast as expected and is in good condition. I'll be using this throughout the semester.
Mr. Inciardi in this book talks about all the rules and Law's here in America. If you follow and read the deffinitions in all 18 chapters, there is no way to fail the course. A great product.

It's hard to rate any book for college classes as 'liking it' or 'loving it' however I did enjoy the easy rental through amazon. Best part is, I can't get stuck with the book!
Rented the book because I needed to restate a final but the book had something spilled in it causing the pages to crinkle. Lots of rips and pages turning up.
I took Criminal justice and found the textbook to be easy to read and was vary useful for class projects and class papers.
I purchased this book for class
