I have loved spending time with Christina Baldwin since I received my first journaling book (Life's Companion) as a gift from a fondly remembered friend. Her work touches something deep inside me and reminds me that I am on a journey shared by many others. Her words whispered comfort into my life in a time when there was great surprise, uncertainty, and moveable ground. Her words pulled me along the inevitable path of life's journey, and I am grateful for what I experienced, learned, and found while I lived this book. I hope one day to meet Ms. Baldwin to thank her in person. Her many books have truly been my treasured companions during my journaling exploration. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has participated in life's journey. There will be something wonderful for everyone here. We have all shared this life quest.

I loved this book, The Seven Whispers because Christina gives you some choice secrets as to how to live life and find happiness! We used her book for a class I was taking and it proved to lead us into deep discussions about spirituality and more practical matters like practicing your purpose!

This small book is profound. I had learned of it from church, and am glad I ordered it. Her descriptions are gentle, compassionate, and right on target. This one will stay in my library.

This book really spoke to me as was suggested by a friend--especially the "Ask for what you need, give what you can offer."

It is not a word-deep book of academic excellent, but a pithy, short phrased collection of personal stories that are real. In fact ai purchased hardback copies to share ( rare for me!).

Christina Baldwin has written a masterful book on the importance and wisdom of spiritual practice and guidance...and of cultivating the ability to listen to our inner voices. This material is compact, precise, and powerful and is a magnificent addition to the library for any serious student of authentic, spiritual living. Plus, Ms. Baldwin is a superb storyteller, and weaves beautiful tales throughout the book that any reader can strongly relate to. This is,very simply, an outstanding book!

Great book to read a chapter a day or just when you need a lift - not preachy, just helpful ideas to keep you focused on living a calm peaceful life.
I have read and lived by many spiritual guidebooks over the years (I am 75). For me to pick up a new one, it must be very special, and this one is. For one thing, it lives up to its subtitle: "A Spiritual Practice for Times Like These." Many such books are so demanding in their suggested practices and disciplines that one feels weighted instead of guided by them. I also felt that this book was an excellent choice for anyone who was just barely aware of spiritual journeying and I gave it to three people last Christmas, each of whom has thanked me profusely, since.
