A skillful selection, and careful presentation, of 20 interviews (out of 70 or so) that have appeared in Omni magazine-yielding a book that, unlike many such gatherings, has coherence and a logical flow. A section on origins and evolution leads off, tapping sources like Cyril Pannamperuma (on chemical evolution), Ernst Mayr, and Richard Leakey. Next comes a section on consciousness with such colorful types as Albert Hofmann (discoverer of LSD), Karl Pribram, and Roger Sperry.

Omni Magazine Winter 2017 Single Issue Magazine – 2017. OMNI is once again at a US grocery store's news stand, since the final print was issued. It is an exciting re-emergence of a venerated science fiction-science fact magazine. Hopefully there will be more than a single collectors issue Vol 74. N. Fall 2017. I want a subscription to this, but apparently that is not possible yet. When OMNI went digital (1996?), on-line only, I stopped reading it and switched to Scientific American and Analog. This issue of OMNI has three very short SF stories.
