Anna Reid's book about the history of Ukraine is very readable. She describes how Ukraine has been controlled by the Vikings, Poles, Mongols, Germans, and Russians. What's happening in Ukraine right now is just a continuation of what has been going on for centuries. As is often the case, a foreign land seen through the eyes of a visitor, makes for an interesting, revealing, and insightful read. Sour in that the author's point of view is often jaded, cynical, and superficial.

American Writers: A Journey Through History is a series produced and broadcast by C-SPAN in 2001 and 2002 that profiled selected American writers and their times. Each program was a two- to three-hour look at the life and times of one or more significant American writer. Episodes were broadcast from locations of importance to the profiled writer(s) and featured interviews with historians and other experts.

We do know that there were the smaller plates of Nephi that contained the spiritual matters of the people and the larger plates were for the history of the people. We learn later in the Book of Mormon that the larger plates around the time of Mosiah did include spiritual matters as well. The task that Mormon and Moroni had in compiling almost 1000 years of information about the people may have required this type of knowledge to ensure that a complete abridgment was accomplished.

Middlesbrough is part of the larger built-up area of Teesside which had an overall population of 376,333 at the 2011 Census.
