Flyin' Jenny was an aviation adventure comic strip created by illustrator Russell Keaton and distributed to newspapers by Bell Syndicate from October 2, 1939 to July 20, 1946. Launched in October 1939, Flyin' Jenny was published both as a daily and Sunday strip, each running a separate storyline. Gladys Parker stepped in to draw Flyin' Jenny from 1942 until 1944, when Keaton's assistant Marc Swayze took over.

Flyin' Jenny created by Russell Keaton, made her maiden flight October 1939. Virginia Dare, to give her correct name was a test pilot at the Starcraft. Although originally Russell Keaton both wrote and drew the strip, over time others would become involved including: Glenn Chaffin (co-creator of Tailspin Tommy), Marc Swayze (now known for his work on Mary Marvel) and Gladys Parker (Mopsy). Keaton died February 13, 1945 aged just 35, and just over a year later Flyin' Jenny made her last flight. You are WELCOME to enjoy our site & read ALL our books online.

Flyin' Jenny was an ace pilot, who competed in aerial racing competitions and had many adventures along the way, often dealing with foreign spies and criminals. She worked as a test pilot at the Starcraft Aviation Factory and flew a series of planes called the "Powder Puff. She was smart, courageous, resourceful, and could "out-pilot" nearly anyone.
