As I seek Truth & Freedom, I was led to read this profound book. Dani Johnson came from being a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas living in her car with $2.03 to her name to a multi-millionaire by the Grace of God. She was the Keynote Speaker last year at Young Living Essential Oils (YLEO) 2007 Annual Grand Convention here at the DC Convention Center. Since that time she has been at a Morris Cerrullo Conference, on Benny Hinn's This Is Your Day TV program, Trinity Broadcast Network's (TBN) Behind the Scenes program and probably other international venues of which I am not aware. I wondered why many YLEO business owners who were attending her seminars were coming back from them having accepted Christ or either with a deeper relationship with Christ and were catapulting up their organization's leadership line becoming debt free and other notable benefits. After reading only a few pages of this book, I understood. God is using her to reveal some deep things for such a time as this. I highly recommend this book if you have ever worried about how you would pay your bills or how to improve your personal relationships or why your business ministry gift was not being utilized in traditional church settings or why your life is not going the way you believe it should. There really is something for everyone. Your life will change for the better!

This book has nothing to do with the things of GOD or Spirituality and everything to do with creating wealth for yourself under the guise of helping others. You should always give with a willing and cheerful heart, not because you’re going to gain wealth.

Just goes to show you, you should study the bible for yourself, 2 Tim 2:15, so that a few verses taken out of context will not sway you. The bible is NOT about money and influence but love; GOD and your neighbor. Dani’s heart appears to be in the right place but this book is all about MONEY, POWER and INFLUENCE. It is also geared more toward people in business or who want to go into business rather than an individual investor (which is why I bought it).

On p. 51 Dani said “Our spiritual warfare deals with gaining influence, making money, and producing excellence”. I strongly disagree with this. Ephesians chapter 6 says: Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

On p. 52 Dani said. “God wants you to make money because money brings influence”. Here again I strongly disagree: Mathew chapter 6 says: Matthew 6:24 (NIV) 24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

On p. 55 Dani said. “The Bible says that money is the answer to everything (see Eccles. 10: 19). I didn’t write that. You can argue with God about that.” Here is a good example of scripture taken out of context. It is also written: 1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV) 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I GOT TO PAGE 57 and at this point I was compelled to stop. My spirit was aroused and I could sense the spirit of mammon lurking, trying to influence me again. This book is about MAKING MONEY! Beware! Compare with:
a. 1 Timothy 6:9 (NASB)
9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
b. 1 Timothy 6:10 (NLT)
10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
c. Matthew 6:24 (NKJV)
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Buyer beware! If you’re looking for a “get rich quick” type book this may be for you, but if you’re looking for success based on the Spirit read the bible.

This is one of the most life changing books I've ever read. I read it because I am starting a new business, but honestly it is a LIFE book and one that everyone should read. I've been sending it to all of my business associates...it's just too good not to share. READ THIS BOOK! You will be so glad that you did. I'm reading it for the third time in a row, and have ordered the books that she recommended in her book. If there were more stars, I would give them all to her! :-)

This book is a must read! Dani points to God and glorifying Him in our lives throughout, correctly pointing to scripture - nothing out of context here. She is a devout believer calling others forth to use their gifts for the glory of God in the market place and in every step. She warns against the love of money and impure motives, even calling for the examination of your life in order to break through those things that may be holding you back and require forgiveness. In every page, she turns you heavenward and toward glorifying God and being persons of excellence that God can use to further his kingdom. I will be re-reading it once a month for this first year and am buying several copies for my adult children and friends whom I want to encourage. I was raised in an amazingly supportive family, but ideas from the church as a young child have caused me to self sabotage my whole life in nearly every area of my life.

I am so grateful for Dani's faithfulness in writing and leading others to excellence so that when others see a Christian in the workplace, we are known for our honesty, integrity, amazing work ethic and love rather than "fitting in" as another average worker. She re-ignited a passion in me to co-labor with Christ in excellence, reverence and pursuit of living every moment in His will. Thank you, Dani Johnson!
