When this is the case there is very little point to even purchasing a nursing text book or utilizing it, as instructors will expect you to utilize the text book for reference. Hardcover: 1744 pages. Some of the problems that make this book a poor reference tool are very poor evidence based writing with a significant amount of outdated knowledge and poor use of medical terminology. The text reads more like a parenting book mixed with "What to Expect When you're Expecting". Not much extra information other than the small boxes that it has.
