I love this one. The storyline is really different from her norm. An overweight, rich debutante whose mother can't stand the sight of her takes a chance by running away. This is where the story begins an unusual but exciting twist and turns. Don't miss this one.
Knights from Bernin
The heroine, Susanna, has a wicked mother who is always hasseling her about her looks. She inhales sweets as a form of comfort & to relieve stress. Her beautiful older sister was sold in marriage to a titled icky guy by her mom. Real nice. The sister doesn't seem to have been a bad sort, just unlucky to be born too pretty & not as resourceful as her younger sis. I would have liked it if in an epilogue the sister's husband died and the two sisters were able to reunite. Ah well.....

Susanna gets away to avoid her sister's fate by taking a job reading to a blind man who just happens to be leaving the country. Yea! After going to Florence, Italy, getting away from her stressful home life, fabulous unprocessed Italian food, having fruit instead of naughty sweets, finding love, & doing her midnight swims - she drops the extra pounds.
