Forrest Gump is a 1986 novel by Winston Groom. The title character retells adventures ranging from shrimp boating and ping pong championships, to thinking about his childhood love, as he bumbles his way through American history, with everything from the Vietnam War to college football becoming part of the story. Gump is portrayed as viewing the world simply and truthfully. He does not know what he wants to do in life, but despite his low IQ, he is made out to be full of wisdom.

John Forrest never underestimated the psychological distress of tooth loss or unsightly teeth. His early clinical practice convinced him that many patients needlessly lost teeth from the bacterial diseases of caries and periodontitis. His advice to patients, whether received at the chairside and interspersed with his wry humour, or delivered through one of his books, The Good Teeth Guide, revealed a highly effective communicator and motivator. He was a pioneer of preventive dentistry.

Little Forrest (referred to in the film as Forrest J. is a character in the Forrest Gump novel and film. He is the son of Forrest Gump and Jenny Curran and is played by Haley Joel Osment in the movie. The director of the movie, Robert Zemeckis, casted Osment to play Forrest Jr due to his role in a Pizza Hut commercial. He tells her that Forrest Jr is doing fine and that he's good a lot of things such as combing his hair, brushing his teeth, playing ping-pong, fishing, and reading and that he's really so smart and that he's so proud of him. Forrest also says that Forrest Jr wrote Jenny a letter so he leaves it on Jenny's grave.

I need a good book since they are so expensive now and I don't want to. .

Best Answer: I bought Forest of Hands and teeth thinking it sounded really good, but I was disappointed. At the start I thought 'oh, this seems ok' but then the pace never picked up, I didn't like the protagonist and the story was really dull when it had the possibility to be a good zombie novel.
