Charles Fletcher Lummis was born in 1859, in Lynn, Massachusetts. ISBN 978-0-8032-7938-4. The Land of Poco Tiempo. He lost his mother at age 2 and was homeschooled by his father, who was a schoolmaster. The magazine was renamed Out West in 1901.
