I am in the process of reading all of Rick's Mofina's books. So far, Burning Edge is his best. I discovered Rick Mofina through Amazon Prime and have been hooked on his books. He weaves a suspenseful story, develops his characters and settings well, and leaves out unnecessary graphic violence and sexual content. The reader gets a solid page-turner and the opportunity to "escape" with an excellent read.

After I finished reading The Burning Edge I began to look for a book of Rick Mofina's that I haven't read. Mr. Mofina is an excellent writer and I always get involved with the characters and hooked into the story. His powers of description and detail are excellent. I particularly liked the one in a different book describing "feather duster" palm trees. I don't care for short stories, but I've event read most of those by Mofina. Please keep writing Mr. Mofina.

Usually I like Mofina's Gannon series but this particular effort suffered from poor character development - indeed quite unbelievable characters in some cases. The main villain seems simply foolish as opposed to intimidating, and far too many plot lines are far too light-weight and tenuous to produce any genuine tension. When you're only 50 pages from the end and you're thinking of casting the book aside that just about says it all. A disappointing read.

Becoming a senior citizen junkie on Mofina's novels. Only about half way through his books & looking forward to the next "read". Have to read a few history or current events books before then so that I don't get totally caught up in fiction land, even though Mofina's stories are very close to real life events.

Great writing with an unpredictable ending. This one is a cliff hanger that the reader can identify with.
A word of caution....don't start it just before bedtime!

Rick Mofina's latest book will grab you from the first page and not let you go until the very end. Those of us who have followed Jack Gannon from the beginning will not be disappointed in his latest adventure. I especially loved the main female character, Lisa, and the strength she displayed in order to survive some incredibly rough experiences! I won't divulge any of the plot since that is already mentioned in previous reviews. All I can say is that you MUST read this book!!!

Great addition to my ever expanding library of Rick Mofina books! If you haven't read one of Mofina's books yet, I would recommend starting with his earlier publications as his characters build with history and development of the characters themself.
Great story...kept me hooked to the end!
I enjoyed the fast paced action in the book. Great characters and good story. I hope there are more Jack Gannon books.
