Report an error in the book. The master of the game is back, with another pulse-pounding adventure featuring the unstoppable Sean Dillon Whilst checking up on the volatile situation in Kosovo the US President's right-hand man Blake Johnson meets Major Harry Miller, a member of the British Cabinet. Miller is there doing his own checks for the British Prime Minister. When both men get involved with a group of Russian soldiers about to commit an atrocity, Miller puts and end to the scuffle with a bullet in the forehead of the ring-leader.

This action will have considerable consequences, not only for Miller and Johnson and their associates, including Britain's Sean Dillon, but for a great many people, all the way to the top of the governments of the United States, Britain, and Russia. From publisher description.

Dispatched by the President to report on the state of troubled Kosovo, his trusted agent Blake Johnson runs into a military man there named Harry Miller, who has the same task from the British Prime Minister. They band together just in time to stop a Russian officer from torching a mosque -- or rather, Miller stops him, with a bullet to the forehead. This action will have considerable consequences, not only for Miller and Johnson, and their associates, including Britain's Sean Dillon, but for a great many people, all the way to the top of the governments of the United States, Britain, and Russia. Death begets death, and revenge leads only to revenge, and before the chain reaction of events is done, from Kosovo to London to Beirut to Ireland to Moscow . . . there will be plenty of both. Filled with all the ingredients that have made him justly admired, Rough Justice is further proof that, in the words of the Associated Press, "When it comes to thriller writers, one name stands well above the crowd -- Jack Higgins."

I think that the ultimate review for Rough Justice is this: I cannot wait to find Sean Dillon Book 20 listed in the Kindle book list. Until then, I will just have to get by on Daniel Silva, Clive Cussler and the rest of the club. But Sean Dillon will always be my immediate next book when I look through my Kindle library of more than 300 novels.

Good story, lots of action. I like the element of romance between Sean Dillon and Miller's sister. It shows that despite his background he is a human being also. I hope to see her more in the future as she seems to have a " bad girl " side to go along with Sean's " bad boy " element.

When I started to read this book I did not stop till I finished the book. Some action thrillers I can read some, do something else, read some more, read the newspaper and finish the book. With Jack Higgins' books the first time through I read till it's finished. Most certainly, I recommend the book.

I loved then introduction of new characters. They were woven in so seamlessly. Can't say who they were but can say the twin love stories were great along with fact that some mysteries were resolved with intensity and credulity.

Jack Higgins is a Master of Suspense. He is a remarkably talented writer who knows his genre and knows what it takes to keep us fans coming back for another go with a cast of characters we've all come to know in return.
In an age of YOUTUBE and video game storylines it is nice to delve into a well-plotted, well-crafted saga where the terrible demons and dragons come in the shape and form of dangerous men. Also, where the knight in shining armor has more than a few character dents and occasional rust patches.
I am truely enjoying Higgin's latest thriller and think that you will too. If you haven't read any of his books before then you'll be pleased to know the characters have evolved from previous novels and that there is a stack of them waiting for you.
Good reading so turn off the game player and jump into some better action.

Great Jack Higgins book. He never disappoints. Sean Dillon always comes through and wins the battle. Looking forward to more Higgins books.

Precise action without meandering paragraphs leading one to remain interested instead becoming bored with unnecessary blurb.
