James Patterson has had more New York Times bestsellers than any other writer, ever, according to Guinness World Records. Since his first novel won the Edgar Award in 1977 James Patterson's books have sold more than 300 million copies.

This novel was published in 1996. Not only because of the defendant, Maggie Bradford, the woman whose songs captivated the world’s heart. Not only because of the victim, Will Shepard, the world’s most glamorous athlete.

She has married twice and it appears that she has shot both husbands. Due to Maggie Bradford's history of killing her first husband to get out of the abusive ways, it began to fuel speculation and accusations when she had again killed her second husband. And the world around her wants to know if this celebrity can really commit these murders.

Caught me at the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. His intent to provoke, anger, or warn is well known and even cherished by many as a celebration of literature’s power to create such feelings or reactions.

Its a good James Patterson book. One written by the author without anybody else. This was the first James Patterson book that I have read. It was a loosely based crime fiction novel, but very different from other crime fiction. Woohoo! Its the usual pattern, with twists and turns. Maggie tells the story. Maggie is in an abusive relationship and. Пользовательский отзыв - amme mr - LibraryThing. The plot line jumped around a lot. I still enjoyed reading this book, but is probably not a book that I would read for a second time.

I LAY WITHOUT moving in the low, narrow crawl space under the front porch of our home near West Point. My face was pressed tightly against the brutally cold, frozen ground littered with dry leaves and scratchy brambles. I knew I was going to die soon, and so was my baby girl. The words from a song, Crosby, Stills, and Nash- Our house is a very, very, very fine house - played in my mind. oh please don’t cry, I whispered into my baby’s ear.

Not only because of the defendant, Maggie Bradford, the woman whose songs captivated the world's heart. This has to be one of the most exciting thrillers I have ever read. Just when you think you have it all figured out, James Patterson comes out of left field with another twist. I was mentally exhausted by the end of the book! 0. Report.

This book helps children learn Chinese using simple and repetitive texts, vivid illustrations and relatable content.

It was the trial that electrified the world. Not only because of the defendant, Maggie Bradford, the woman whose songs captivated the world's heart. Not only because of the victim, Will Shepard, the world's most glamorous athlete. But also because everyone said Maggie had murdered not just one husband, but two. And because in Maggie's world - the world she feared and despised but could not escape, the world of the powerful, the rich, and the ruthless - both death and life could never be what they seemed. From James Patterson, bestselling author of KISS THE GIRLS and ALONG CAME A SPIDER, comes his most brilliantly realized thriller, a story that will shatter your expectations...and hold every last one of your nerves in thrall, with each twist of the plot and every turn of the page.

Maybe it was the fact that there was no one in this book to identify with. Lifestyles of the rich and famous do not particularly interest me. And the trials were just plain boring. It was an okay read, but it might be awhile before I chose another Patterson book to read.

A big fan of Alex Cross but thought I would try a "different" Patterson storyline....Hide and Seek was a joke to say the least....read like it was written by a very young mind & and a not very bright one at that....almost soap opera style....did you really write this, Mr. Patterson?? I'm thinking I'll go on to another author for a while, just to clear my mind away from this very bad read....wheww.....

I'm a James Patterson fan. This book did not measure up to his prior talent. The story line felt fragmented. The evolution of the characters felt like it jumped around. It took 6-8 chapters before I was sure what the storyline even was. Love reading his books but this one was disappointing. I finished only because I kept hoping my experience would change.

I enjoyed this book enough. It was well written as a James Patterson book should be and I am a huge fan of his work. This one was not my favorite and at times a little boring and drawn out for me but I liked Maggie and even Will was interesting but the ending was just there. You knew what would happen early on so for me that took out the surprise at the ending.

Amazing how a writer/s can come up with so many names for beasts of the Quag. Thought it was very interesting reading and cannot understand how writers can think in the way they do for this story. Way outside the box thinking, but fun to read.

Really struggling to get done with this. The chapters a too short, the story too contrived. I love James Patterson, but this is not even close to his best work. Skip this one.

Haven't read it yet. I'm just trying to stockpile my books so I have plenty of winter reading. I always love his books though.
Very full of suspense and changes along the way.
