Titan Books is reprinting Donald Hamilton's Matt Helm series-all 27 novels. My copies are old and falling apart. Some things never change. I welcome the opportunity to get fresh copies and retire my old ones-even if on Page 42 this typo appears: "I could hear the doodlebug coining. Donald Hamilton showcases his gun knowledge with a description of the Automat Kalashnikov and how firing a handgun with just one hand told Helm which side his attackers were on. I had fun reading "The Retaliators" again and I look forward to the re-release of "The Terrorizers" in October.

This book, "The Retaliators," is between these two. It has a lot of fun in i. It has a lot of fun in it. It just needs to be a little shorter. The retaliators book. Donald Hamilton outsources the Matt Helm smooth move in this novel: another agent allows himself to be captured by the opposition, so I can't count it. Number of times Matt Helm uses himself as bait in the Matt Helm series, and allows himself to be captured by the opposition (or presents himself directly to th. I can only recommend this novel to Matt Helm fanatics. The plot is good, and there are some good scenes, but on the whole I am disappointed with the bloated text, compared to the earlier Matt Helms.

Bad Sunny
As a general rule, I have found that the earlier Matt Helm books are better than the later ones. The main reason is that the later ones are longer, and lose their punch and drive as the bog down in too much detail or side stories. They're good stories, but too long. This book, "The Retaliators," is between these two. It has a lot of fun in it. It just needs to be a little shorter. Matt's suddenly having a lot of money from an unknown source is intriguing. The girl who is sort of silly sometimes but not at others keeps us wondering. Solana-Ruiz, about whom we are never quite sure if he's on Matty's side, wants Matt on his side, or intends to cause trouble, has appeared in previous stories, and is a good character. There's also the central problem of somebody planning to kill a Mexican general. While Donald Hamilton writes many Helm stories set in the American Southwest and Mexico, he does it well. Book was well written although probably not the best of the Matt Helm series. Definitely a good read for your enjoyment of adventure.

Somebody has deposited $20,000 in Matt Helms bank account and Matt knows it means trouble. Once again Matt encounters a hostile government agency. The action is fast as Matt escapes to Mexico and is assisted by his old friend, Ramon. But nothing is what it seems. The mystery becomes even more tangled as the Mexican government gets involved. But you can trust Matt Helm to untangle the web when you read this great story by Donald Hamilton.
