This was an entertaining spy story set mainly in Vienna. Characters were well drawn and settings framed very well. The story was OK - very few surprises. Having said that I also have to say that the quality of the writing kept me glued to my chair turning pages! Misses on 5 stars - story felt a bit stale. Maybe I am inured to spy stories or spoilt by other writers.

Really fantastic read, I kept thinking 'I'll just read one more chapter...' The story is gripping, the politics of the cold war time is intriguing and interesting. Then there's romance on top. I thoroughly recommend this book.
