I remember these books from years ago and started reading them again on my Kindle. They're still really good and as far as I'm concerned stand the test of time well. Worth reading for the mystery adventure side as well as learning more about the Catholic Church, the practices in the past and the changes since Vatican II.
Doath
An excellent mystery with intertwined interesting Catholic Church doctrine.

This was one of the best books in the series. Humorous and yet exciting along the way. Kept me guessing until the end. A few surprises in the plot made this an enjoyable and unpredictable read. Even Father Koesler didn't figure it all out. Made me want to find out what comes next in his avocation as Catholic counsel to the Detroit Homicide Squad.

Was able to keep my interest from start to finish. Never suspected the real culprit until the end. Very enjoyable! Joseph Giliberto

Plot twists - I never saw the end coming the way it did

Another fun mystery in his series, with background in Roman Catholic history and practice pre/post Vatican 2. Good character development.

of all the kienzle books, i liked this one best!
I like the FAther KOesler novels quite a bit. As a former altar boy, I find the inner working of the church interesting.
