The Loyalty Effect is a 1996 book by Fred Reichheld of the consulting firm Bain & Company, and the book's title is also sometimes used to refer to the broader loyalty business model as a whole. I believe that repetition is the mother of all skill but enough is enough. For $20 a book Duane you could be a bit more compelling, your books are predictable and filled with "filler." I could have learned as much about loyalty by reading the definition in the dictionary.

Finally a sales program that clearly aligns the selling process with the buying decision process of the customer. The Action Selling Program has had an immediate and long-lasting impact on our account managers' ability to move the sales process forward on each and every call. And, in today's competitive environment, where it is more difficult to differentiate between the services and goods of one supplier versus another, customer loyalty is often the critical factor for success. Maters of Loyalty has played a major role in helping our account managers to solidify customer relationships far and above the level of the traditional sales representative.

It's quite thin for the $15 or so. But what do you do when you absolutely SHOULD have this info in your head and in your practice? You suck it up and buy it or even better, you borrow it from your boss, or find a used one. I'm not yet a complete idiot but I read this thing like three times to really solidify the process in my head. And that's after reading the other little expensive books in the series. Bottom line, the material is invaluable and the price is too high. What are you going to do?

This is great research. With the heaviest volume of competition, this really helped me increase loyalty. I finally now have a PROCESS. Loved the story format, easy read.
