I wanted to like this book, I really did. The author writes engagingly and friendly and informs us of all aspects of couponing. Unfortunately, it's already dated- five years after publication. Stores are catching on to this little game of coupons, and their store policies do not reflect the ability to get groceries for free. At least here in the midwest. Even the web site that is included in this book is not very helpful. There are some brains that are just not wired for numbers and calculations, and mine is not. Going to finally give up the coupon attempts and save money in other ways.

I have saved so much more than ever. I never used coupons before like this. Good source to locate coupons, and how to buy so that you save more money. I don't have time to run around to do some of the "earn money" savers. For me, that is over the top and not usually a product that I am interested in. I do use ibotta and some other apps that this book introduced me too, and earned some extra money to help out for future purchases. If you haven't done couponing before, this is a great source to get started. The mold to what works best for you. Depending on the effort I put into this, I have saved 20 - 40% on the grocery store purchases. And learned about extra savings with the Target app ENJOY!.

Since getting all the info from the book, and purchasing the items they recommended and visiting the web sites they recommended, I have saved an incredible amount of money using coupons. It tells you how to organize them, what to buy to do so, which coupon printing sites to make sure you check out and get signed up to. I'm not even finished reading, but I have saved at least 30% on average since just getting started.

Downfalls: Small town? Beware....It recommends you get multiple copies of your Sunday and/or Wednesday newspapers. I don't like having to go out every Sun and Weds and my job doesn't have hours that permit it usually. I live in a small town and ordered a subscription to the biggest nearest town, but they never got it right. I ordered 6 copies of just the Sunday paper, but they made me get Wednesday paper which I know in my state does not have coupons in (at least not worth my while), which made it too expensive, and then I would still receive only 1 newspaper every Sunday and Wednesday, so quickly had to cancel the subscription. I work from home in a small community in a small town and no one I know has the Phoenix paper to give me their coupons from.

Downloading Coupon Printing Software, beware!!! I got a nasty virus/malware/spyware that I have had to pay many $$$ to get rid of and my computer is still not right since getting it. Since I did a lot of downloading from their recommended websites on one day, who knows which one was responsible. It might have been Savings Star, though. Beware of that one - it scatters all kinds of toolbars at the top of your screen. So please just use your best judgment and be careful what you click on. I still get email updates from some of the better ones and now I am afraid to try to print them.

Frustrating. However, there is so much one can do online, but just checking this link they mention (which as a misprint does not show up as the name of a website but as a http// address (not recalling right now); THAT one is very helpful. You tell it which grocery stores you have in town and like to shop at, it gives you a list of what is one sale that day/week. THEN you can really get going with combining your store ads with the coupons you have found.

One GREAT thing in this book is a download you can do (instructions they provide) to make dividers for your 3 ring binder. I laminated mine and use them regularly. They aren't perfect but they do provided several pages for you to make your own titles on.

Overall, I am glad I got this book. Just beware of those coupon printing software downloads.

I bought this book after I decided I wanted to learn to coupon. I already followed her website and Facebook and thought that her book would also be helpful. Especially since I prefer to read a book rather than a website.

For someone new to couponing this book is great! It covers everything from basics to more advanced topics (yes, I know how funny that sounds when one is talking about couponing). It assumes you know nothing about couponing and starts at the beginning, including how to organize your coupons and where to find them.

For people who are used to couponing, this book probably won't provide a lot of new information. But if you are just starting out, it's a great place to start. I've used her tips and guidance to say thousands of dollars on products. I never pay for toothpaste (brand name!) any longer. I refuse to pay more than $.50 for a bottle of brand name shampoo. It is possible to save significant amounts of money with coupons.

One caveat, most of what is in this book can also be found online, either on her website or on other's. However, if you want everything in one neat book package, you can't go wrong with this book.

She writes knowledgeably but with a light an easy tone that's easy to learn from.
