The author is most definitely flexing his academic muscles writing this one. I feel this is extremely hard to read. He turns a simple sentence into a huge complicated paragraph, most likely to fill out the book. His principles outlined in the book are good but I find myself getting lost. He also finds a word and loves to repeat it. He uses altruistic 6 times in 4 sentences.

This book is very thorough at explaining the dynamics of teams without using too many examples. I'm not a huge fan of examples since I typically understand what is being explained. It is not formatted like a text book so if you are interested in skimming for homework, this will not be an easy book to skim. I have found it much more helpful to read the chapters as they are not that long in the first place.
If you are looking to work in a team atmosphere in the future or work in one now, regardless of your career or major, this is a good book to have on hand.

Used this as a textbook for PSY 5124 in the Organizational Leadership program at Florida Institute of Technology and it was a great resource. Easy to read, comprehend and digest. Will continue to utilize this text even after the course is over.

Excellent book!

This was the best and most important textbook I read in all of my schooling - including grad work as an MBA student. I only wish I had gotten my hands on it years earlier.

Exactly what I needed for class, however I was caught by surprised as to how much I enjoyed learning about groups. It's really a great book for those in leadership positions or want to understand the dynamics of how teams work.
