Overall, the fifth chapter seemed to be one of the weaker sections of the book.

Another book, Food, Society, and Environment (Prentice Hall, 2003) was co-authored with Bryan F. LeBeau. Every once in a while I experiment with a new environmental sociology book or set of readings, but invariably I come back to Harper after one semester of experimentation. As an undergraduate, Dr. Harper studied biology and the natural sciences.
Environment America is a federation of state-based environmental advocacy organizations in the United States. Environment America advocates new laws and policies to address climate change, air pollution and water pollution, and is a proponent of clean energy. It opposes offshore drilling.
