This book is great - you can read it anywhere! Not only is there a ton of fun and funny tidbits to either laugh out loud about or simply scratch your head, you can always have something other than work to talk about at the office, when you get home - basically anytime, anywhere! Who knows - you could use it to win your first million--!! Thanks, Marbles, for sharing your wealth of "useful" trivia - hey, I am NOT being a smart-alec! This is a totally honest review! I also listen to the Morning Rush everyday, and enjoy the "College" there, too!

I would recommend this book for a child...they might find it cute. I did get a few good obscure facts out of it. The format was wierd because some of these questions can't be answered in a little paragragh and at times it seemed like it was saying nothing. I would not really recommend this book unless you just have lots of time to waste. There are better fact books out on the market...I will leave it at that.

This book is great for anyone who has ever wondered about the traditions and words that we use everyday. If you are fortunate as I am to live in Tulsa you can hear Jim Marbles (the author) tell one of these interesting stories every day on 100.9 KXOJ. It made me question things I haven't thought about before. For instance why are chips pre-priced at the store when nothing else is? Or why do donuts have holes or why do lion tamers use a chair? Well, you'll just have to buy the book to find out the answers to that and tons more. I would recommend this to anyone who is a trivia buff.

Excellent family fare. Interesting enough that I enjoyed as an adult professional, yet written at a level that was easily understood by my elementary age children. Marbles has a gift of turning obscure trivia into interesting facts.

In this rare case, you can judge a book by its cover. It is a fun book. The "obscure knowledge" is often something we've always wondered about, but never bothered to look up. Jim has captured the tone of his radio program in writing. I am looking forward to volume 2.

Very funny and interesting, quick humor to life's "not so thought about" questions. I loved it, we re-read it all the time.
