Campaigns on the North-West Frontier (Victorian War Series). Afghan Wars: And the North-West Frontier 1839-1947. To me the mark of a good book is that the author makes the reader want to turn the page and learn more, and Mr Barthorp certainly achieved this. Previously I had little interest or knowledge in the Indian or Frontier campaigns of the British Army but this title has definitely stimulated my interest. I really enjoyed reading this book and all the titles in this series are amongst the most prized books in my collection.
