This inspiring retrospective covers a twenty-year period from her "Institutional Dream Series" in 1972, where she would sleep in various public places (a library restroom, a night courtroom, a seaport) to see how it affected her dreams, up to her live shows of "Stories from the Nerve Bible".

This inspiring retrospective covers a twenty-year period from her "Institutional Dream Series" in 1972, where she would sleep in various public places (a library restroom, a night courtroom, a seaport) to see how it affected her dreams, up to her live shows of "Stories from the Nerve Bible" in 1992. While the material is generally presented in a linear fashion, images and texts from different stages of her career are juxtaposed to underline the many recurring themes in her work (dreams, speech, time, technology).

Willpower: A Twenty-Year Retrospective. Willpower was really designed to be Jack Bruce's Crossroads - it followed Clapton's monumental box by a year, had similar artwork, a similar approach that blended selections from throughout his various projects, and the same on team. Thing is, Bruce didn't have the commercial success of Clapton, nor did he have the same sizable following (although his fans were indeed devoted), and critics just sorta gave up paying attention around 1970, so there wasn't much of an audience for Willpower upon its release in 1989.

The policeman on the beat moved up the avenue impressively. We figured that in twenty years each of us ought to have our destiny worked out and our fortunes made, whatever they were going to b. "It sounds pretty interesting," said the policeman. Rather a long time between meets, though, it seems to me. Haven't you heard from your friend since you left?" "Well, yes, for a time we corresponded," said the other. But after a year or two we lost track of each other. You see, the West is a pretty big proposition, and I kept hustling around over it pretty lively.
