Glenn has done us all a great service by putting this book together. Anyone who vacationed at Beach Haven as a child, like I did in the 1960s (or earlier, or even later) will find so many of their memories to be relived in this terrific book of postcards. Truth of the matter is that I probably saw most of the chrome cards on the racks of drugstores and the Lucy Evelyn back then, but we had written on and mailed away all the cards we had bought. Seeing those images again is just a treasure that I can't believe has been given back to me again.

Beautiful Postcards! I collect Long Beach Island Postcards & was happy to view some of the cards I don't have (or can't afford to have since they are so popular). Also the prices shown with each card are pretty accurate & I like how they are organized in the book.

If you love Long Beach Island, and its elevation from barren sandbar to a coastal resort , then this book will have you in awe. Through photographic images and postcard views, you are actually transported to the edwardian beginnings and essentially every single step along the way to present day. Having grown up in Beach Haven, I thought i had already seen most of the available information. This book brought clarity to long held stories, solved some mysteries, and answered alot of questions. Kudos to Glenn Koch for assembling such a wonderful collecton of historical information and having the foresight to share this work with future generations.
I have purchased copies for everyone in my family for the holidays and i am sure they will be just as excited about this volume as i am.
