The Virginia Experiment:. has been added to your Cart. The book is concise, scholarly and a long but enlightening read for anyone interested in the days and years following the first landing at Jamestown, VA in 1607. It was dog-eared and obviously well used, but not abused

The Virginia Experiment:. It was dog-eared and obviously well used, but not abused. There was even an inscription in it by Alf to one of his students (at ODU), the original owner of that copy, I assume. People who enjoy this one of Alf's works may also enjoy some of his many books about Thomas Jefferson. 2 people found this helpful.

I have an autographed copy of the same book given to me by the author, my cousin, several years ago prior to his passing about a year and a half ago. I bought an extra copy (on Amazon later on) to give to someone else. The book is concise, scholarly and a long but enlightening read for anyone interested in the days and years following the first landing at Jamestown, VA in 1607. It was dog-eared and obviously well used, but not abused. There was even an inscription in it by Alf to one of his students (at ODU), the original owner of that copy, I assume. People who enjoy this one of Alf's works may also enjoy some of his many books about Thomas Jefferson. Few people, if anyone else, has truly studied Jefferson like Alf did.
