The book gets 4 stars when it could have had 5. Why?

Well, there are far too many editions, revisions, etc available and it's a confusing landscape to navigate. I mean, yes, I can figure it out but I really shouldn't have to. There's no reason for this. Provide 1 low cost alternative, a mid-range paperback, and a kindle version. That's it. The digital packages are also not clear but whatever. That's enough of that.

Some people liked the illustrations. I found the layout a bit much. As though a graphic design student got a little ambitious and forgot about function. When trying to read all the information on the page, it starts to interfere with the flow of reading a chapter in sequence. It's a problem. I like design in fact, I love design but design should work WITH a concept and not against it. Too many times I found myself skipping over a shout out or inset so I could finish a chapter and then forgetting to go back and read something. That is not good. The design should be set up better so complete thoughts can end and allow students to also read the inlays/insets. It's highly fragmented.

Still, I'm not going to give it a low rating because the overall information was good and it wasn't poorly written (though there were certain chapters I took issue with).

The content was well organized and had a good layout. There were some parts of the loose leaf edition that were helpful like the ability to only take part of the book if needed. However, the pages are the same thickness as a regular textbook. This makes it quite easy to tear the pages around the binder holes. I have to be more careful with this format that I would with a regular bound book. For the price, the holes should at least be reinforced somehow.

Terrible to be force to read this in a class. All information on any topic in the book is widely available online. The organization is good, but if you want to learn about health there are other ways of going about it

This goes for a lot of textbooks in the Health industry, but most of the information is about 10-20 years old, and has been proven either wrong, or just more information that changes the way of thinking. Great book for someone who knows nothing about health, but common sense and recent research renders much of the book outdated.

So when I received this package it looked like it has been through a really rough semester. All the pages are bent and there is a lot of wear an tear. I know I am only borrowing it but it is in pretty bad condition. It will work and my class already started so I need it. But writing this now to avoid any wear and tear charges because this book is kinda sad to look at.

It really didn’t help to sit and study the whole thing, huge waste of Money. There are better options to learn health.

Halfway through my class and I realize that this book is missing Chapter 6 through 11. After page 164 the book is a mess. It has Chapter 12-16 twice throughout the book. This must have been a misprint book, it should not be available for rent! Obviously I didn't check this when I rented it, because I shouldn't have to check to make sure all the pages are there!!!! Now I have to rent ANOTHER copy of this book to finish my class. I want a refund!!
Rented the book for my Health class in college. Great quality book that helped me prepare before my tests and just review key material. Comes quickly and in a return envelope for when I return the book at the end of the semester. I recommended it to my friends for when they need the book next semester.
