I know a couple people whose dogs have had cancer and now I'm interested to hear others' stories and experiences, which is really what this book is about. This book has helped me immensely! My 13 year old long-haired dachshund was diagnosed with cancer. First she had a tumor surgically removed due to an aggressive form of cancer. This book gave me hope as I went through the ups and downs of chemo and treatment. Your vet and oncologist can help . . . but this book gives you all of the tools and wise advice on how to deal with it and fight it. The author also provides do's and don'ts which are essential. I highly recommend this book. The author became my second best friend! My dog is now approaching 14 years old and enjoys a quality of life!

Less than what I expected; more about her dog's fight rather than essential up-to-date information. Doing your own research on-line will be more beneficial.

If you are bonded with your dog like she was, like I am, this is a great and informative book. There is a treasure of info for anybody faced with the devastating news of your pal's illness. Go ahead and cry then get this book and then get busy helping your dog fight for his/her life.

It is a good reference book on dog cancer case report. What I have is the 1st ed book. Some of the content (eg., list of the web address of relevant topic in selected chapters) may be dated. Nevertheless, advice given by the author is helpful to me as the novice of dog cancer.

There aren't many books on the market that are about canine cancer. There are a few books that aren't worth reading. This book is a must read if your dog has cancer. It tells the tail (tale lol!) of an owner and her dog and their battle with cancer. Conventional as well as holistic/supplements are used and described in the book. I encourage you to read it.

When my 10 year old aussie was diagnosed with an inoperable abdominal tumor, my research led me to this book. It helped me to provide quality of life for her in the last few months that we had with her, and to prepare for the inevitable. It also provides valuable tips, recipes, and motivation to help prevent cancer, and I would recommend it to all dog owners as a resource to hopefully prevent a cancer diagnosis in the first place.

Wonderful book; great wealth of info. Would recommend it for anyone who is concerned about health problems with their dog. jaz
This was a good, comprehensive book talking about cancer in dogs. It reached farther than I'd expected, and gave me info I'd never considered. I'd recommend it.
