Very interesting and informative. A good "go to book" for relaxation and self healing. Well written and easy to follow. A must own for your holostic and natural health library collection. Easy to self administer these techniques on yourself too.My mom in her final illnesses and on my twin sister during her attacks of depression, anxiety, muscle spasms of the back and when she was hospitalized for tests and was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis... especially gentle hand massages between she got her morphine injections and before they took effect, both requested me often to do this for them. They said it really helped relax and relieve pain and tension. I always modified it to accommodate their pain levels. "Touch therapy" was calming and brought us closer together in love. It even reduced my stress levels to know I was comforting my beloveds. My mom would very often ask me to massage her pressure points in her upper back before she went to bed when I was her caregiver and said ,"You know you are very good at this! Caveat: when doing it on someome else always ask for feedback and follow their instructions. Never think you know more of what the person needs, let them be your guide. Personally the section on onsomnia, stress , anxiety and headaches work great for me. Highly recommended.

The technical contents of this book are very comprehensive, informative and useful. However, I have been very disappointed to buy the e-book version of this excellent publication. In this regard, I would like to give following suggestions to the authors and publishers of this book for further improvements if possible:
1. Table of Contents: Part 3 ( A-Z Remedies):
(a) Each remedy to be listed here and provided with its own link to specific page or include specific page number of the book.
(b) Each remedy to be provided with anatomical pictures preferably coloured ones and actual photographs showing the exact locations of the pressure points specified therein. Descriptions alone are not sufficient to pinpoint the exact location of the pressure point.
2. Index: Each index item to have its electronic link or page number assigned.

I am confident that authors and publishers will look into these suggestions to make this book Best Seller soon.

my go too guide. It also has sections on reflexology, hands, feet and ears. A GREAT BOOK to have.

This book introduces the ancient Chinese art of manipulating the chi along meridians that travel throughout the body, using acupuncture needles. It also explains that similar results can be obtained using finger pressure on appropriate points on the body using finger pressure [acupressure] and on the feet [reflexology].

The book then lists a large number of common complaints, and suggests the appropriate points on which to use acupressure, or reflexology. It also suggests other alternative treatments that might be helpful.

I have used acupressure for many years to control headache and other pain, so I can believe that it may be helpful for other conditions.

As a person who is very active in physical fitness, as well as, stress prone, I found this book to very necessary, indeed! I ordered this book, looking for something that would help me with all the aches and pains and tension that I regularly build up in the average day. Well, I found it! The book is very thorough and easy to follow. It gives a step-by-step instruction to relieving symptoms with pressure-point therapies that work. However, the skills in this book require patience and practice. There are no "instant" buttons...to my dismay.

Not enough information for exact locations of pressure points, Just sort of random areas. Wanted more detail of exact areas with explanation. Just a lot of mumbo jumbo over and over.

This is a great book and I have been doing accupresser for over 30 years. The book is a good review for me and for someone that has never used pressure point healing it is very comrehensive. I was first taught pressure point healing in Loma Linda Ca at the hospital when I was a patient there. We all need more medication as we get older but this helps reduce the need for some of them. All drugs have side effects but this is natural and has been around for thousands of years.
This book is great, however to get the most out of it as with anything you will need to have authentic interest. It briefly describes various pressure point therapy to give you guided choices. If you consider yourself experienced in accupressure, reflexology, shiatsu, etc., you will gain some knowledge because this book has strong basics. Remember or learn that the basics are the highest form of any learning endeavor.
