I read all of the three investigator books when I was in elementary school. (there are about 140.)

I am now sending these to my 8 year old nephew -- about once per month. He just completed the 3rd grade and is having no problem reading the books. He enjoys them greatly (at least, that's what he saying to his uncle LOL)

This book brings back great memories.

Well-written and full of intrigue, as usual for Robert Arthur.

I got lost somewhere in the middle of the plot. There seemed to be too many details regarding the valleys and caves and why the horses would be found by villains . . . a bit unclear for an adult. Just imagine a kid?

I remembered this mystery from my youth. It's still got the charm and good old detective work that it always held for me.

Great book for the juvenile mind. Has a great plot and suspense throughout. Ending was strong. This book would make a really good thriller movie! I read this series when I was in Junior High back in the 70's and enjoyed collecting them over the years.

It is an excellent mystery that explores two things, problems that happened during the early trade with China. And what to do about the house owned by that individual.
I loved them when I was a child, except I could get them at the library. Now my 9 year old son loves them too. Our other children enjoy them too but they are great books for boys with lots of adventure built in.
