I grew up watching Sesame Street as a child and reading pop-up books of my own so I felt this was the perfect birthday gift for my little nephew. I was surprised when I received A Walk Down Sesame Street at how elaborate and interactive the pop-ups were. Every page brought to life a different character and featured a different activity. Sesame Street has always been both educational and fun and I can't say that this book is any different. My nephew loves the book and I'm glad I chose this book as his first "real" book. Great value for your money.

I got this book for my 13 month old grandson and I would say that it is his favorite. He mostly cannot manage any of the tabs that make the characters 'move' in this book but he loves the fun anyway. The first 2 pages have a large Elmo that can be moved via a tab, there is an Oscar the grouch in his trash can that can be moved by opening and closing the book a bit, and an apple with a worm that comes out of the apple which my grandson now looks for with excited anticipation. There is a scene devoted to a flying Abby (managed via a sliver of a turn wheel at the bottom of that page) with a pop out Zoe dancing nearby. A fun Bert and Ernie with Elmo musical scene moves via a simple tab and there is a matching socks game in the upper right corner that my grandson enjoys though I haven't even tried to see if he can be taught to learn which matching socks hide behind which tab. The large Big Bird character spanning two of the pages is fun and there is a matching book on the right side for the children to open and look within that is interesting. Super Grover is also given 2 pages which teach up and down concepts, and a big and little concept as well. The last page has all the characters of this particular book which also include the Count and Cookie Monster. Very enjoyable and I do read this book to the baby before nap time and he seems to settle down after we read it. Highly recommend.

I gave this to my 3-year-old niece and she absolutely loves it. I'd give it 5 stars for appeal and creativity. But after my niece's first leafing thru the pages and trying out the tabs, one pop-up did not quite fit back in place. It's currently her favorite book and as a doting aunt, I can't be happier that my gift is a big hit with her. However, this being her favorite, I hear that some tabs and pop-ups are not quite holding up very well - and it's only been 10 days!. I wish the makers had produced better quality materials that can hold up to toddler use - at least enough to last the book until they get tired of it (one month? 2 months?). So for that, I'd give the quality 3 stars; hence the average of 4 stars overall.

I was excited about this book for my granddaughter only to be very disappointed. The book tore on the back binding before Christmas Day was even over and it wasn't from looking at the book nonstop. The paper on the cover is very flimsy and does not hold up. We did not misuse or abuse the book just moved it a couple of times. The pop ups are cute but I constantly had to say be careful, be gentle. When you do that the whole time you're reading the book it kind of takes away from the fun of the moment. The idea is good but just not well construcked. I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it.

Very nice book! I got it for my niece, she loves Sesame Street and I can't wait to give this book to her. She is only two, so will have to read it with an adult so she doesn't rip the pop-ups, but I enjoyed it very much myself and I'm way older than two! LOL! The pop-ups are big and fun and I loved the Abby Cadabby page. Also Ernie, Cookie and the rest of the gang. Well worth the Amazon price.

I bought this for my daughter...at the time she was just under 2 years old...she loves this book to this day and the pop-ups are really nice...however, she did totally destroy one without much effort....I realize that you have to be careful with the pop-ups, but i do believe some could've been made a little more secure...

Regardless, this is a nice pop-up for your kid(s)...enjoy!

This book was such a joy to receive in the mail from Amazon! We ordered if for my nephew for Christmas and my husband and I didn't wrap it until the last minute because we wanted to keep playing with it in our home for as long as possible. This is for anyone who has EVER loved Sesame Street. It is bright, colorful and exciting, with fun little surprises everytime you turn the page. Worth every penny!

My 2 yr old saw it and paged through it with me but it seems to me he would've liked more pop ups on it. I didn't realize when I bought it that it would be more geared towards an adult to read in (in which case we wouldn't need the pop ups) so the book doesn't make much sense to me. If there's pop ups then why not make it towards a toddler's age? The pictures are nice though!
