I read this series as a child, and have treasured the memories.

It's much better than Nancy Drew, but of course it won't seem that way to kids now because the tech isn't modern, and most adults will view it as inane kiddie fare.

So you have to be in the right mood. Get in that mood, and you will find a series that could inspire you to write the next Star Trek, Harry Potter or Twilight.

Rick Brandt is what adventure is all about.
