...about this book from a 3 and 5 year-olds view(in my judgement). It has nice illustrations, yet there are so many books with "nice" illustrations. It is thin on grabbing the boys attention who are both book-lovers. Although there are redeeming qualities such as the positive messages conveyed under most of the entries, this book is something I would rather have checked out of the library. Once.

The book got to me VERY quickly and to my surprise it had even been autographed by the author! This made for a great present!!!

The alphabet never felt or looked so good! My 3 and 5 year old kids LOVE this beautifully illustrated, joyful book. The book teaches us about letters and about life, and the pictures give concrete examples of the spiritual concepts. "Believing in things I cannot see" could be too abstract for a 3 year old--but this books pairs it with a whimsical picture of a girl and a puppy expectantly watching a garden. Now my kids "get it." The book is non-denominational, non-preachy, and great for a boy or girl. Forget the boring "A is for Apple." Kids will remember this book long after the alphabet is committed to memory!

My spiritual alphabet book is a great introduction for children to spiritual terms in a very entertaining yet poignant way. The rhyming verses along with the beautiful illustrations paint a wonderful picture of all things larger than we are.
This book is a great alternative to alphabet books because it sends a beautiful message along with teaching children their ABCs.

While the artwork and verse is generally lovely, I was very disappointed by the reference to ''Mother Earth'' for the letter ''M''. Father God and Mother Earth? Not for me. Surely, there had to be something better for ''M'' like ''Moon'', perhaps. I was not able to share this book with my preschooler.
