Good Driving, Amelia Bedelia book.

Good Driving, Amelia Bedelia book. Lynn Sweat’s artwork is truly cute to look at as I loved the clothing style of Amelia Bedelia herself as she is always dressed in a black dress with a white apron that shows off her status as the Rogers’ maid. Overall, Good Driving, Amelia Bedelia is a treat to behold, especially if you are a huge fan of the Amelia Bedelia series! I would recommend this book to children ages four and up since there is nothing inappropriate in this book.

Book 8 of 11 in the Amelia Bedelia (Original Series by Peggy Parish) . Good book for your emerging reader as far as simple to sound out words or figure out in context

Book 8 of 11 in the Amelia Bedelia (Original Series by Peggy Parish) Series. My first encounter with her was reading one of the current boring books to my son's kindergarten class. Good book for your emerging reader as far as simple to sound out words or figure out in context. Some of the book is written in cursive, so that is an added challenge. The jokes are based on play on words "Draw the curtains" and she draws a picture of the curtains.

That made Amelia Bedelia feel better-and worse. Amelia Bedelia reached into her suitcase and pulled out a sheet of paper. It was covered with checkmarks.

That made Amelia Bedelia feel better-and worse. At bedtime, Amelia Bedelia turned off her light, but she couldn’t fall asleep. Her dad shook his head and said, Now, hold everything-. Hold everything? said Amelia Bedelia.

Love Amelia Bedelia and this book fit in my collection perfectly! . Amelia Bedelia is going to help out in an orchestra, and a chorus of laughter is sure to result! In her usual fashion, our wonderfully confused friend is on the job, messing things all up with the finest of intentions.

The long -awaited return of a beloved children's book character, as Peggy Parish's nephew continues the adventure of the hilariously literal-minded maid. A series of hilarious misunderstandings occur when Mr. Rogers agrees to teach Amelia Bedelia to drive. This was my favorite book as a child. It brings back so many fond memories of going to the school library every year right before Christmas vacation so that I could take it with me and have it during the whole two weeks of Christmas break to myself. When I found it on amazon I just had to buy it. It was always hilarious how Amelia did everything all wrong and I always found it funny how she was left with instructions that were very vague, only in her mind of course. I remember always wondering how it was possible that she didnt know about Christmas decorations at her age because you would assume shes seen Christmas all her life. I am going to be graduating soon and start teaching, and I know that this is definitely going to be one of the books that I will be sharing with my students. I cant wait to read it to them and get to do it all over again!

This arrived a day early and in amazing condition! I loved the Amelia Bedelia books as a child abd look forward to reading them with my own children. It is funny to read through her adventures of taking things literally. Its a great read for children and can even be fun for teaching about following directions.

Amelia Bedelia has taken her rightful place in the ranks of children's literature. What's not to love about this quirky character and well-meaning, innocent antics?

My daughter loves Amelia Bedelia, just like I did as a child, and had an easy and enjoyable time reading this book. She is a first grader this year, and was able to read it alone midway through the schoolyear. The DRA level is 28 (late second-third grade) but her current level is 20-22 (early second grade) and it seems appropriate. It is engaging enough to real aloud as well.
Scream_I LOVE YOU
She is one of my all time favorite characters. I especially LOVE her for students who might need some encouragement about anything that makes them different. We all fall in love with Amelia Bedelia and that love and respect transfers to anyone who might do or say things a little differently than others. Not to mention how it is just plain old fun to pick up one of her books and LAUGH!

Amelia Bedelia books are fandiddlytastic books for lower elementary kids who love to laugh! This book, Good Driving, is just one of many, many, Amelia Bedelia books that are filled with humor as Amelia trips over the meaning of words and always has a different meaning of a word than it's meant to be. I dare you not to laugh with your child as you two read this together!!!

*** I do childcare with toddlers up to age ten. preschoolers to my ten year old are excited when I have a new Amelia bedelia book.
I enjoy them as well. occasionally something has to be explained because we don't use the same words "draw the curtains"---that's fun as well.
Love this book! Quick shipping. Thanks!
