My favorite birthday book! Very imaginative and just the right amount of ridiculous that this book is a blast to read. There's some subtle sarcasm that adults will appreciate too. My girls ask to read this all the time, and I definitely haven't gotten tired of it yet. The illustrations are wonderful, and after all the silly is over, it shows that a simple party can still be the best.

This is one of our favorite books. The illustrations are so sweet and funny. The story is precious with the little girl ending the book with just a simple party among family and it being just right. My kids LOVE all her big plans that we read through as her birthday gets closer. It's a nice easy and rather short read compared to many other books.

I ordered this book to use with a first grade writing lesson. The story's main character goes all-out planning her birthday and my students really enjoyed seeing the ideas she came up with. They didn't think some of her ideas were all that outlandish. ;) After reading, I asked the students to plan their best birthday party. The story provided an excellent jumping-off point for our discussions. It was a fun book to read with darling illustrations.

This book was listed as being in good condition, however I would say it was fair at best. 4 pages had rips, and it had clear signs of water damage- lots of the pages were wrinkled as they had gotten wet and then dried.
The book itself is a great, fun story that my daughters adore, but I would not purchase from this seller again
